No Dutch? No problem! Haarlem’s cultural hub Schuur welcomes the international community. Schuur’s programming features regular offerings for those who don’t speak Dutch but would still like to enjoy great culture in their own region. Schuur presents a weekly Expat Cinema showing, English-language theatre, sur-titled theatre, dance and many more accessible events.
Schuur is a place where everyone is welcome and where we hope to cater to everyone’s taste with groundbreaking theatre, breathtaking dance, moving spoken word performances and films that aren’t afraid to break through the surface. Expat Cinema
Sunday nights are cinema nights with the best films from all over the world. Our weekly Expat Cinema is a true haven for the arthouse lover, with English-subtitled screenings of the latest films that have garnered success at the international festivals.
Language no problem dance and theatre
A lot of our theatre and dance program is suited for non-Dutch speaking people because of sur-titles, English monologues or no monologue at all.
